Tonight Movie Finder is an independent web application built around a familiar question: what should I watch tonight? Instead of beginning with an endless catalogue, the experience starts with preferences and presents one suggestion at a time.

Visitors can choose a genre, minimum community rating, era and streaming service. Streaming availability is focused on Italy, using JustWatch information supplied through TMDB.

From a suggestion to a discovery

The finder keeps a temporary history of suggestions so visitors can revisit their options. A separate search supports movie titles, actors and directors, with suggestions while typing. Saved movies create a personal shortlist for another evening.

Search works independently of the finder filters, allowing a visitor to move from a specific title or person into a broader exploration.

A lightweight personal experience

The interface combines semantic HTML, responsive CSS and JavaScript with movie information from the TMDB API. Saved movies remain in the visitor’s browser, with no account required.

Clear selection controls and separate areas for discovery, search and saved films help keep the experience focused. The site credits TMDB for movie data and images and JustWatch for streaming information. Availability can change and should be checked before watching.
