The details between a screen and a product

An interface becomes useful when its controls work, its content remains readable and its states make sense. I connect visual design with HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build responsive websites, reusable components and focused web experiences.

This can be a good fit for a product concept, an interactive prototype, a portfolio or a lightweight tool. My independent projects are also a space to explore how public data and content can become more approachable interfaces.

Build around the task

We first identify the main user journey and the data or content it needs. The implementation considers normal use alongside loading, empty and error states. Navigation, forms and controls should remain understandable on smaller screens and with a keyboard.

I favour a small, maintainable stack and avoid adding application complexity where static pages and progressive enhancement meet the need.

Define the boundaries early

Hosting, external services, API limits and ongoing maintenance are discussed before delivery. Advanced backend engineering, payment systems and account infrastructure are not assumed to be part of a front-end engagement.
